FAMU Campus Girl Scouts

We are very excited to announce that FAMU is officially starting a chapter of Campus Girl Scouts at their school! This will help both FSU and FAMU function around the schedules of its members when planning meetings, but we will continue to work on events such as Girl Scouts Legislative Days together.

We are very proud of the new chapter and can't wait to work with our friends soon!

Welcome to the FSU Campus Girl Scouts Blog!

We are a Registered Student Organization (RSO) at Florida State University and were established in Fall of 2008. We work as an organization to stand as role models for girls, provide opportunities and learning environments for girls, and give back to the Girl Scouting community. As an organization we work with Girl Scout Council of the Florida Panhandle to put together events for girls and to volunteer as needed in Girl Scouting Events. We also serve as a partner organization with Students for Real Beauty (another RSO at FSU) to help girls discover their true beauty and the individual beauty that everyone possess.

This past year we had a lot of fun planning an older girl lock-in at Camp for All Season, helping out at the Run for the Cookies, and volunteering, planning workshops, and throwing a party for the 2009 Girl Scout Legislative days.

We have a lot of plans for the upcoming year and we are very proud of our new officers who will help us along the way. These new officers include:

Lizzie Dement, President
Kara Engle, Executive VP
Kassie Edwards, VP of Events / Treasurer
Bridgette Cram, VP of Community Service
Nancy Singh, Secretary

We can't wait to get started this year and if you are a new member or interested in joining, check out our facebook at http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=23105424683&ref=ts for updates on meetings, events, and membership. Hope everyone is having a great summer and we can't wait to see you soon!
